The News Network, run by Studio South, is a six-week collaboration designed for students (ages 7 – 14) to learn how to work in live, on-site broadcasting. ​

They attend local, family-centered events as child news reporters: they highlight the event hosts (often a non-profit or community-serving business) and explain the event’s purpose. After they report on the specifics of the event, students will interview other kids attending the event!

 

There is even a weather segment and a commercial break that includes our sponsors - all done by the students!
